Hitting out at the Samajwadi Party, the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party for poor governance and for misleading people, former Chief Minister and Bahujan Samaj Party president Mayawati said her party believed in uplift of deprived sections of society and had worked for the welfare of society when it was in power.
“The BSP never issues manifesto as it believes in performance rather than making tall claims. What is the use of those written words when you do not have the intention,” Mayawati said while addressing a rally in favour of her two party candidates at the ITI grounds in Hardoi on Thursday.
Mayawati asked the people to understand the real intentions of the Congress, the SP and the BJP that had only misused public funds.
“These parties only mislead people. They bring out manifesto promising moon to the people but do nothing for them,” she said. Hitting out at Samajwadi Party, she said that during the Assembly election, the party had released a manifesto promising improvement in law and order but did nothing to improve the situation. “Where has that promise goneIJ
Goonda raj prevails in UP. life and property of common man are not safe here. People are now talking about BSP rule because our priority was to improve law and order,” she said. Mayawati said that during BSP’s regime, not a single riot took place while in the two-year rule of Akhilesh Yadav Government, over 100 communal flare-ups had been reported.
“This shows the Samajwadi Party Government does not have the political will to improve law and order,” she said. The BSP supremo said her party was contesting on all the 80 lok Sabha seats without any alliance. “We will do well and the party will emerge as a balance of power post-lok Sabha election,” she said.
