Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati on Sunday lashed out at the Congress and said, “We do not agree with the policies of Congress at all.”
While talking to mediapersons, Mayawati said Congress policies are anti-people. However, we have to support Congress from outside because we do not want communal forces to rule the country.”
She also did not rule out the possibility of an early lok Sabha election. Whether the polls in the country are held before or as per schedule,
the BSP is ready. BSP is putting all efforts for the upcoming polls, she added.
When asked about the ongoing struggle for the name of BJP’s prime ministerial candidate, Mayawati said that it was not her party.
About Narendra Modi’s emergence as strong candidate for the top post, she again evaded a reply and said
Gujarat Chief Minister is not in her party.
Reacting over Rahul Gandhi’s speech at CII function in New Delhi a few days ago, she added that it is Congress’ matter and it is up to them and not me to decide on such issues.” Mayawati was here to attend “Shanti Path” for late Bibi Gurcharan Kaur, younger sister of Bahujan Samaj Party founder late Kanshi Ram. Kaur was cremated at her hometown Bhabat in Zirakpur last month.
