Terming Akhilesh Yadav as Babua Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), BSP chief Mayawati took on the CM over dipping law and order situation and dared him to crack down on criminals roaming freely patronised by the SP Government. Taking a dig at Akhilesh over his claims on cutting down response time of police, Mayawati termed the manhandling of staff of a private university at Allahabad by don-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed as a slap on the Government’s face. In less than a week after being declared SP candidate from Kanpur Cantonment, Atiq Ahmad and his armed aides reportedly stormed the campus of Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences (SHIATS) on the fringes of Allahabad and assaulted the staff on Wednesday. Ahmed has, however, denied the allegations.
