All India Muslim Jamaat’s national president, Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi Bareilvi, has strongly condemned the provocative remarks made by Pakistan’s Ulama Council and asserted that Indian Muslims stand united with their country. Dismissing the threats issued by the Pakistani religious body, Maulana Razvi said Indian Muslims live peacefully with people of all faiths and will not be influenced by cross-border rhetoric.
“The Muslims of India are not affected by the empty threats of the Ulama Council of Pakistan. Kashmir is an inseparable part of India. Over the years, terrorist activities there have significantly decreased. The central government has continuously engaged with the people of Kashmir in a spirit of harmony, and the public has responded positively. That is why the people of Kashmir now want peace and have grown weary of terrorism,” he said.
The cleric further appealed to Indian Muslims, especially imams across the country, to observe this Friday as ‘Yaum-e-Dua’ (Day of Prayer). He urged them to offer collective prayers after the Friday sermons for the unity and integrity of the nation and to defeat its enemies.
“In their sermons, imams should also educate the community about the dangers of terrorism and the need to remain united in this challenging time. People should not fall prey to those who try to sow discord between Hindus and Muslims,” Maulana Razvi added.
Pakistani Council’s Provocative Statement
The response came after Pakistan’s Ulama Council announced it would observe the upcoming Friday in solidarity with Kashmir, warning that “Kashmir will not be allowed to become another Gaza.” The council further claimed that while Palestine is far from Pakistan, Kashmir is close to its borders.
Reacting to these remarks, Maulana Razvi cautioned the Pakistani group to refrain from such statements. “We know how to give a befitting reply. The Indian ulama and Muslim community stand firmly with their nation and will continue to do so. No one will fall for the incitement spread by Pakistani organisations. We are fighting a battle against the grave disease of terrorism, and we will emerge victorious,” he asserted.
