Two incidents of rape and sexual abuse of minors have rocked the two Telugu States. While thousands of people have come on the roads in Dachepally town of Guntur district since last night protest against the outrageous incident of a 50 year old rickshawpuller raping a 9 year old, police in Hyderabad has arrested a teacher of a Madarsa on the charges of sexually abusing his six students.
In Dachepally the girl was admitted to Guntur Government school with bleeding injuries and doctors had to give stitches. As the news of the rape spread thousands of people belonging to all the sections came out on the roads last night stopping the traffic on Addanki-Narkatpally highway demanding immediate arrest of the culprit.
On Thursday the people took out a massive procession demanding quick justice. They also stopped the Shabari express at Nadikudi junction.
Police said that the rickshaw-puller, identified as fifty year old Subbaiah lured the girl by offering her chocolates and toffees last evening and took her to an isolated spot and raped her. later he dropped her back in his rickshaw near her home after threatening her to keep quiet about the incident. The bleeding girl fainted after reaching home and when she was rushed to the local hospital that doctors identified it to be a case of rape.
Police said that the culprit was absconding search was on for him. The angry mob attacked his house and pulled down the structure. They also caught hold of his son and beat him up but the police intervened and rescued him. As emotions were running high additional police force was rushed to the town from neighboring areas and a vigil was being maintained.
