Outlawed CPI(Maoist) has defended the killing of TDP MLA from Araku Kidari Sarveshwara Rao and his associate former MLA Siveri Soma saying they were exploiting the poor tribal and amassing wealth.
In a 14 page letter sent to media Andhra-Odisha Border Zonal Committee spokesman Jagbandhu said that it was not the style of Maoist to invite somebody for talks and kill.
Alleging that Andhra Pradesh government and the state police were indulging in false propaganda against the CPI Maoist and its Peoples Guerilla Liberation Army, the letter said that the two leaders were punished only after an hour long People’s Court. “Kidari and Soma were extending help in Bauxite mining. There is no truth in allegation that they were killed in indiscriminate firing just like that. We are not hired killers and we don’t have any hit list”, the letter said.
TDP MLA from Araku Sarevhswara Rao and former MLA and Soma were killed by Maoists on September 24 creating shock and anger in the tribal area of Visakhapatnam.
