Mann's video exposed house security: lS Panel

Published on:

The lok Sabha panel looking into the controversial act of AAP MP Bhagwant Mann on Tuesday in its first meeting observed that his action of recording and publishing the video exposed the whole security system inside Parliament. Mann, for his part, continued his outbursts by writing a letter to Speaker Sumitra Mahajan that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should be summoned by the panel for "inviting ISI" to Pathankot airbase.

Delhi Police Commissioner Alok Verma also attended the meeting of the nine-member panel, headed by BJP MP Kirit Somaiya. It is learned that Verma observed in the meeting that security personnel inside the Parliament should have acted and stopped Mann from recording the video through mobile phone. The panel has to submit its report to the Speaker on August 3.

In his letter to the Speaker, Mann said the Prime Minister was "100 times more guilty" than him for "inviting  ISI" to probe the January 2 terror attack on the airbase that had left seven security personnel dead.
