A 30-year-old man shot himself inside a temple in southeast Delhi’s Govindpuri area, police said on Monday.
The incident happened at Shiv Temple located at l Block of Kalkaji on late Sunday evening. The man, identified as Johny, offered prayers before shooting himself in his right temple. The CCTV installed inside the temple captured the whole incident.
Police said that they have recovered a suicide note from the spot adding that Johny held no one responsible for his death.
Johny, who worked in a factory in Faridabad, is survived by his father, wife and a one-year-old son. “Preliminary investigation suggests that he was depressed due to some family dispute. His family members have been questioned,” the police said.
