A 30-year-old man strangled his wife to death and surrendered before the police in northeast Delhi’s Khajoori Khas area. Police said the victim had threatened him to implicate in a dowry case. After killing his wife, laxman, the man locked the body of his wife in a room and went to railway station to commit suicide but later surrendered confessing his crime. He spent a night at a temple before surrendering. laxman told police that he was furious with his wife’s frequent threats of implicating him in a false dowry case if he did not pay a sum of Rs70 lakh to her that prompted him to take the extreme step.
