A man on Friday died after falling from the third floor stairs of a hospital in Vasant Kunj, where he was admitted for undergoing tests, police said.
Fifty-one-year old Raj Kumar Thakkar, resident of JM Orchid apartment complex in Noida Sector 76, was admitted to Institute of liver and Billiary Sciences (IlBS) on Thursday. last year, he had undergone a liver transplant at the hospital.
He was reportedly going for a stroll when the accident occurred. A call was received that a person had died after falling from the third floor stairs of the hospital at around 9 am, a senior police officer said, adding that the exact cause of the death was not clear. “We are investigating the death from all angles to determine its cause. Although no complaint has been given by the family members who are in deep shock, we are covering all possibilities,” said the officer.
