A 32-year-old man was tied to a tree, undressed, beaten up and then robbed off his car when he stopped to take a phone call in East Delhi’s Shakarpur area late on Monday.
“The incident happened around 10.30 pm when Ravi Sharma — a resident of Dilshad Garden — was on his way to home and parked his car by the roadside at Vikas Marg to attend a call. A group of men took him to a deserted place near Yamuna Khadar and tied him to a tree. The assailants then undressed him and beat him up before taking off the cash, his ring, ATM cards and his car. Sharma is currently under treatment at a nearby hospital while the hunt is on to nab the accused,” said a police officer.
