Mamata's nephew attacks Modi over fuel price, says BJP's bisarjan in 2019

Trinamool Congress leader and MP Abhishek Banerjee once again slammed the Centre for failing to address issues concerning the people and called upon the people of Bengal to organise mass movements against the Central Government: More so against the sky-rocketing petro-prices.

Banerjee, the nephew of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, on Tuesday staged a daylong sit-in demonstration at the Mahatma Gandhi statue near Mayo Road in Kolkata and walked back home with thousands of his supporters as a “symbolic protest against BJP Government’s apathy towards issues concerning the people.”

The youth Trinamool Congress leader considered to be the party’s number two in hierarchy earlier said that the BJP Government would “go down with its arrogance lock stock and barrel” and added its anti-people and pro-rich policies had already “sounded a death nail for Narendra Modi Government” whose bisarjan (immersion) would take place at the hustings in 2019. “Our leader Mamata Banerjee was present in Bengaluru where all the opposition parties had assembled with a determination to give this Government the farewell,” he said at the end of a long march organised against the rising fuel prices.

“Our protest marches will continue to take place all over the State till something constructive is done to control the rising prices that have affected all sections of the society: from farmers, to workers, transporters to office-goers.” The TMC would continue its movement under the leadership of Mamata Banerjee like she had done before after the “fake demonetisation and imposition of notorious GST Bill,” Banerjee said accusing the Modi Government of “hoodwinking the people in the name of ‘Acchhe Din.”

He said the Modi Government had promised to bring Acchhe Din in India but wondered “where is that Acchhe DinIJ” adding the people had read through the BJP’s game plans of dividing the people of India along communal lines to further its own agenda.
