Mamata backs AAP MlAs, cries foul

A natural ally of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, his Bengal counterpart on Sunday stood up and got counted among the AAP sympathisers terming the decision by the Election Commission to disqualify 20 Aam Aadmi legislators on “office of profit issue” as “unfortunate” act of “political vendetta.”

Incidentally her vendetta tweets came hours after one of her trusted lieutenants and Bankura district Trinamool Congress president Arup Chakrabarty voted for Badla (vendetta) politics asking his comrades to slash BJP men’s tongues and dismember their limbs to complete their revenge against them.

Tweeting for AAP Banerjee said “a constitutional body cannot be used for political vendetta. The 20 AAP MlAs were not even given a hearing by the honourable Election Commission,” marking the incident as “most unfortunate.”

She added “this goes against the principle of natural justice. At this hour we are strongly with Arvind Kejriwal and his team.”

Curiously hours before she was to tweet against the vendetta politics of the BJP-led Central Government Chakrabarty told a crowd in Bankura to “tear off the tongues of the BJP men and cut off their limbs if they try to go disturb you” insisting “now we regret our leader Mamata Banerjee’s initial direction to us of Badal and not Badla (change and not revenge). Now I ask you to go for Badla (revenge).”
