In a renewed attack on the Narendra Modi Government for dissolving the spine of Central Bureau of Investigation in order to perpetrate its politics of vendetta against the Opposition parties and their supporters Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday said the central Agency which was headless earlier had now been rendered spineless.
Calling it an “ally” of the BJP the Chief Minister said the “headless” CBI which had no director had now become “spineless ally” of the BJP.
In a scathing attack on the “caged parrot” which had been used to victimise the Opposition leaders Banerjee tweeted, “political vendetta continues,” with the “BJP and its allies comprising multiple Government agencies harassing all allies of Opposition from Kolkata to Delhi and beyond,” wondering whether the BJP was scared of the Opposition unity which was why they were making some desperate moves.
The BJP was sparing no one she said adding, from Akhilesh Yadav to “Behn Mayawati ji, nobody is spared. From north to south. From east to west. Political vendetta by the BJP. Are they scared? Are they desperate” One headless agency has now become spineless BJP.”
Banerjee’s statement came hours after the houses of former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda was raided and noted Bengali film producer Srikant Mohta was arrested on ponzi fund charges.
Banerjee had on January 19 organised a massive rally of all anti-BJP opposition parties at the historic Brigade Parade Ground from where she gave oust-BJP call.
