Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis travelled by road from the naxalite-infested Gadchiroli district to Nagpur after his chopper developed a technical snag before its take-off. The incident happened when the Chief Minister was on a day-long visit to Gadchiroli in eastern Maharashtra.
“The pilot of the chopper noticed the technical snag shortly before the take off for Nagpur in the afternoon,” Gadchiroli Superint-
endent of Police Abhinav Deshmukh said.
“One of the engine of the chopper did not start, maybe due to the intense heat. Hence the Chief Minister was advised to travel by road,” Gadchiroli district collector ASR Nayak said.
