A 17-year-old student of a private school in North West Delhi’s Ashok Vihar allegedly attempted suicide by jumping off a flyover near Satyawati College on Thursday afternoon.
Preliminary investigation revealed that police have recovered two pages suicide note from her possession addressed to her mother, wherein she mentioned that the man had promised to marry her but after developing physically relationship with her; he started avoiding her and he had cheated her.
Police said that the victim had gone to school on Thursday morning and after school hours; she reached at flyover near Satyawati College and attempted suicide by jumping off the flyover at 2 pm. The victim is admitted at AIIMS Trauma Center with multiple fractures and that her condition is stated to be critical. “She had written a two page suicide note where she wrote that the accused developed physical relationship with the victim but for the last two months, he started avoiding her and told her that he would not marry her. later, the victim realised that he had cheated her on the pretext of marriage and the man had been harassing her,” the officer added.
