National secretary of Rashtriya lok Dal (RlD), Anil Dubey has asked UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav to get a treason case lodged against those involved in religion conversion.
Accusing the BJP and its allies of propagating communalism in UP, Dubey said the BJP and the organisations associated to it are now hell bent upon spreading hatred in the society on religion conversion issue.
Dubey said our Constitution allows everybody to choose the religion of their choice and every citizen is free to change their religion. “In the light of statues of the Constitution, it is a damnable sin that the BJP is luring, defrauding and promoting people to change their religion. And the Central Government’s logic to formulate a new law on religion conversion instead of chastising the BJP’s act is against the fundamental principal of the Constitution,” Dubey said while warning that such a move would never be tolerated.
He said the BJP and its allies had started to weave communal fiber in the guise of religion conversion in west UP’s Agra as an epic-centre while the cinders of planned riots in Muzaffarnagar are yet to die down.
Dubey said the public knew about all the gimmicks of the BJP and was ready to pay them in their own coins. He explained that the BJP and its frontal organisations want to divert public attention from the basic problems in the guise of this tact.
“Because the BJP emerged as a failure in bringing back black money within 100 days, giving jobs to jobless, provisind a corruption-free Government, the allurement which the BJP propagated in parliamentary election and rode to power, is now banking on religion conversion — a gimmick meant for sidetracking from the real issues.
