LDF Govt spreading manipulated news about Covid handling in Kerala, says BJP

A senior BJP leader has charged that the LDF Government in Kerala was projecting “manipulated victory” against its fight against Covid-19 pandemic. “The recent developments in the State prove that the CPI(M)-led LDF Government was hiding real news and spreading manipulated news about its handling of Covid-19. This is a sign that Kerala’s health care sector has to improve a lot,” said C P Radhakrishnan, BJP leader in charge of Kerala.

He was speaking to reporters at Kochi on Thursday after the core committee meeting of the State unit of the BJP. Radhakrishnan said that his party’s focus would be to win power in the State and not to win ‘few more seats’.

“The recent Local Body elections in the State proved that the we have been accepted by people belonging to all sections of the society. We wrested power in Pandhalam Municipality where two Christian brethren won as ur candidates. Yes, we are against Islamic terrorism but not against Islam. Our objective is to isolate Islamic terrorism and integrate the Muslims with us,” said Radhakrishnan.

The BJP leader said that the last five year’s of CPI(M) rule has ruined Kerala’s development in all fields. “Kerala needs to develop its infrastructure, agriculture, industrial sector and heath care. What the CPI(M)-led LDF is projecting is manipulated victory against Covid-19. The BJP would be focussing only on Kerala’s development as well as to improve the standard of living,” said Radhakrishnan, who is no stranger to Kerala.

He also dismissed reports about internal fights in the Kerala unit of the party.

“No issues related to groupism came up for discussion. One or two persons who have been with the party for long were not able to actively participate in the recent local body election. But that was only due to their personal problems. They will be actively taking part in party works from hereafter,” said Radhakrishnan.
