The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility for the firing at Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff’s car in Mumbai’s Juhu area and issued a fresh threat to members of the film industry associated with actor Salman Khan.
In a purported social media post, individuals identified as Anil Pandit and Harman Sandhu claimed responsibility for the October 18 attack, alleging that Shroff had ignored earlier warnings. The message also warned that those in the Mumbai film industry who continued to work with Salman Khan could be targeted next.
The claim surfaced hours after unidentified assailants opened fire at Shroff’s vehicle near Pushpa Narsee Park in Juhu on Sunday evening. The actor escaped unhurt, while his driver and an autorickshaw driver were injured in the incident, according to media reports.
Mumbai Police have launched an investigation into the firing and are examining the circumstances surrounding the attack. Investigators are also verifying the authenticity of the social media post and the alleged links between the shooters and the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
The purported message has raised concerns over threats against Bollywood personalities, particularly those associated with Salman Khan, who has faced threats attributed to the Bishnoi gang in the past.
However, the gang’s responsibility claim has not been independently confirmed by police. Investigators are yet to establish who ordered the attack, identify the motive conclusively or verify the alleged involvement of those named in the message.
