The Uttar Pradesh Government on Monday dismissed senior PCS officer Randhir Singh from service for his involvement in a land scam. Former Additional District Magistrate of Ghaziabad and presently ADM of Gautam Budh Nagar (Noida), Ghanshyam Singh was also suspended by the Government.
Both officers have been penalised for their alleged involvement in a scam in acquisition of land for Meerut -Delhi Expressway project. The government had ordered a probe into the scam which was done by Divisional Commissioner of Meerut which was submitted to the government on October 4.
The Commissioner probed the alleged irregularities in land acquisition for 74-kilometre long Meerut-Delhi Expressway and Eastern Peripheral Expressway and submitted a 15-page probe report to the Chief Secretary.
