RJD supremo lalu Prasad’s both sons Tej Pratap Yadav and Tejaswi Prasad Yadav will make their debut in the election from two neighbouring constituencies Mahua and Raghopur respectively in Vaishali district.
The RJD bargained hard to get these two seats which were held by the JD(U). The ruling party had to drop its Raghopur MlA Satish Kumar and also gave up Mahua seat. Former CM Rabri Devi has lost from Raghopur in 2010.

lalu’s close aides Bhola Yadav and Shakti Yadav have also been given tickets. Bhola who entered the legislative council only last year will contest from Bahadurpur in Darbhanga while Shakti will fight from Hilsa in Nalanda. Former Union Minister Akhilesh Prasad Singh will try his luck from Tarari in Bhojpur. Singh, who will fight on Congress symbol, had earlier contested lok Sabha and Assembly polls unsuccessfully.
Senior RJD leader and former Union Minister Ali Ashraf Fatimi’s son Faraz Fatimi will contest on RJD ticket from Keoti in Darbhanga. Congress legislature party leader and former Assembly Speaker Sadanand Singh will fight to retain his Kahalgaon seat in Bhagalpur. Assembly
Speaker Uday Narayan Chaudhary will contest from Imamganj seat in Gaya.
