The teenager daughter of a Scheduled Caste labourer was raped by the kiln owner's brother-in-law at a brick kiln located in Gorai area in Iglaas tehsil. When the father complained, he was beaten up and got injured. The SSP conducted an immediate investigation after taking cognizance of a complaint made on the IGRS portal by a trade union of Bihar. As soon as the case is confirmed by Gorai Chowki Incharge, the teenager has been sent for medical examination by filing a report on the victim's father's statement.
It is not the first time that laborer's daughters are raped in Aligarh, there are many more such cases are pending. It may be recalled that Bhatta Parsol case where 13 women were gang raped is still pending in court. The main reason being is that the contractors bring the laborers and made them work as bonded laborers and the women of their families are made prey of sexual harrassment.
Kanta Prasad, the brother-in-law of the kiln owner, works on a brick kiln. The laborers, work with the family, doing brick work. Kanta Prasad called and raped the minor daughter of a Scheduled Caste laborer in his office on the pretext of giving her water. After leaving the office, the victim informed the family members. When the father complained, the accused beat him and he was injured.
After this, the victim informed the leader of a labor organization in her area about the incident.
On the IGRS portal, a complaint was made from the said labor organization. On the complaint, the SSP got Gorai outpost in-charge Abhay Pratap Singh on investigation. When the case was found correct, a report was lodged on behalf of the victim's father. The accused is absconding since the incident. Police has also raided the accused's village in district Mathura. According to CO Mohsin Khan, the accused will be arrested soon.
