The Karnataka Government has announced an exclusive housing scheme for transgenders along with other poor people of the society. The Government will create a housing colony in 50 acre at the outskirts of IT city Bengaluru soon to shelter these deprived lot. Announcing this on the sidelines of a queer festival Bengaluru Development Minister KJ George said the township will come up soon to in 50 acre facility to help them over come stigma and discrimination.
