With the patronage of the ruling Congress Government in Karnataka captained by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah led a massive yoga performances across the State, giving fillip to the International Yoga Day on Sunday. Information Technology capital Bengaluru celebrated Yoga Day in style with the participation of film actors, politicians and other VIPs to a declaration that yoga should be included in the curriculum to make it part of the system.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah took part in the Yoga Day celebrations in Bengaluru along with Bollywood diva Shilpa Shetty, who performed many asanas along with thousands of enthusiasts. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah declared that State Government is contemplating to introduce yoga as one of the optional subjects for high school and college students.
