The sleaze gate of Karnataka Primary Education Minister Tanvir Sait who was allegedly caught browsing porn pictures in a public function at Raichur in Northern Karnataka where he was a guest, has now snowballed into a major controversy and embarrassed Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has sought a detailed report on the incident.
As the Opposition both BJP and the JDS have demanded his resignation Siddaramaiah said in Mysuru on Friday that he would seek a report on the incident for further action.
He said “I will seek the report and then will see whether it needs to be inquired, after inquiry I will take action.” He rubbished media reports which quoted him as describing the incident as false.
“....did I say media reports are falseIJ Some channels are saying so. What I have said is let the report come, I will examine the veracity,” the Chief Minister said.
Minister for Primary and Secondary Education Tanvir Sait on Thursday courted a major embarrassing
controversy to the ruling Congress Government after a video footage emerged showing him purportedly watching
pictures of skimpy clad girls on his mobile on dais at a public function to mark Tipu Jayanti celebrations in Raichur district. Sait is also the district in charge Minister and hails from Mysuru.
