'Kishenji was wrong in relying on Didi'

The CPI(Maoist) has regretted its slain leader Kishenji’s decision to strike a truce with the Mamata Banerjee Government, sources said.

The party central committee has said that the Maoist leader had erred in supporting Mamata Banerjee’s cause before the 2011 elections by jettisoning its declared line of conflict with the State power. It has also condemned the Trinamool Government for taking advantage of the truce and ‘murdering’ Kishenji as was claimed by party MP Abhishek Banerjee at a meeting last month.

The report comes at a time when a high alert has been issued by the Central Intelligence agencies which have warned the State administration against a possible Maoist attack before Independence Day.
