Taking an inspiration from Aam Aadmi Party’s ‘broom’, Jai Samaikhya Andhra party of former Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has opted for the ‘slipper’ as party’s poll symbol.
The symbol was unveiled by a young girl at a public meeting of Kiran Kumar Reddy in Visakhapatanam on Sunday. launching his election campaign, Kiran Reddy promised to give more importance to youth in the party. Making a ‘united Andhra Pradesh’ his election plank he blamed N Chandrababu Naidu of TDP and YS Jaganmohan Reddy of YSR Congress party for the division of the State. “The division could be come possible because these two leaders gave letters to the Central Government supporting the demand for Telangana”, he said.
"The people should not support the parties who supported the division of the State", Kiran Kumar Reddy said. Three expelled Congress MPs V Arun Kumar, Harsha Kumar and Sabbam Hari were also present at the occasion. “Jaganmohan Reddy had setup his party only to become the Chief Minister. He had a nexus with Congress to divide the State”, Kiran Kumar Reddy alleged. Sabbam Hari targeted both the Congress and the BJP saying that the two parties had joined hands to make division of Andhra Pradesh possible.
