The family members of the victims and witnesses in the Badaun sisters rape case reportedly gave their consent before the local court to go in for polygraphy (lie detector), brain maping tests as demanded by the sleuths of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

The fathers of both the two cousin sisters who were raped and murdered along with two witnesses Ram Babu and Babu Ram gave their approval to the test before the special court in Badaun on Tuesday. CBI sources confirmed here on Tuesday evening that the tests would be done only after the outcome of the Narco tests of the five accused which also started on Tuesday and examining the DNA test of the victims. Additional District Judge SN Tripathi gave its nod on the CBI’s permission  to conduct polygraph test on the parents and witness of the crime.

Meanwhile the polography, brain maping and narco analysis tests on the five arrested accused in the rape and murders for two sisters in Katra Sadatganj village last month started on Tuesday.

The sleuths of the CBI went first with lie-detector test at the PWD guest house in Badaun on Tuesday afternoon. CBI has decided to conduct the lie-detector test in light of the statement made by Uttar Pradesh DGP Al Banerjee that the rape of one of the victims was not confirmed and that property could be one of the motives behind the heinous incident. However, the autopsy report confirmed that the minor girls died due to hanging and now due to strangulation. After lie detector test, CBI would further go in for narco and brain mapping tests like in New Delhi.

Earlier the court had ordered narco and other tests by CBI on five accused including two policemen for three days starting from Tuesday. The tests would be held between 10 am to 5pm in the evening.
