With the arrest of two brothers and recovery of a two-year-old boy from them, Delhi Police on Wednesday claimed to have busted a family gang which used to kidnap kids and forced into begging to augment their income. The accused, identified as Rohit and Sachin were part of the gang along with their father, who is absconding.
“We had received a tip-off that two recently kidnapped children, brother-sister, aged two years and 12 years respectively, are being forced to beg at Gaziabad Railway Station following which search operations were launched,” said Additional deputy commissioner of police (North-East) Rajendra Singh Sagar. Sagar said that during investigation, it was learnt that both the children have been restrained at Jhuggi, Bhoor Bharat Nagar, Vijay Nagar in UP for begging.
