A child who was kidnapped on Thursday night was found murdered in a park in West Delhi's Naraina on Friday evening. The family of the six-year-old child, who was kidnapped from near his home in the Central Delhi area, had received a ransom call of `1.5 lakh, police officials said.
The case of kidnapping came to light at around 8.45 pm on Thursday in Ranjit Nagar area when the parents of the boy, Ganesh, could not find him after he had gone to play in the vicinity of their house. As Ganesh did not return, his family raised an alarm and informed the police who registered a case of abduction and launched a manhunt.
In their investigations, the cops questioned the family members of the child in case they were threatened by anyone before the incident occurred.
