Keshubhai Patel’s political outfit Gujarat Parivartan Party (GPP) is facing divergence following Patel’s back-to-back meetings with Modi-Advani duo on Wednesday and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on Thursday.

Patel had quit the BJP party along with former junior Home Minister Gordhan Zadafia, former Gujarat Chief Minister Suresh Mehta and late former Union Minister Kashiram Rana in August 2012, two months before the Gujarat Assembly elections.

Talking to The Pioneer, a senior leader in GPP divulged that founder and President of our party (Keshubhai) is setting wrong precedence. On one hand, he didn’t attend inaugural function of the backward Rohit Community function supported by GPP on health ground and on the other hand, he spent hours with the Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and BJP’s veteran leader lK Advani on Wednesday at Government Circuit House in Ahmedabad. Not only that, he attended a farewell function of three trustees of Sadhana, a Gujarati mouthpiece of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and met RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, he said adding that these developments have sent wrong signals in the party.

The GPP supported event of Rohit community was finally inaugurated by Suresh Mehta and Zadafia also presided the meeting, when Patel was busy attending Shri Somnath Trust meeting with Modi and Advani. Sources said that Keshubhai soft stand in Gujarat Assembly’s monsoon session was criticised by his party members.
