Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Sunday shifted to the official residence at Begumpet after offering special Puja along with his family members. It is the same official residence which was built in 2005 and was used by YS Rajasekhar Reddy and his two successors K Roshaiah and N Kiran Kumar Reddy.
Initially, KCR had refused to use the building due to the belief that it was not auspicious and it was not built in accordance with Vastu Shastra. It had forced the officials to find an alternate place in Ministers Quarters in Kundan Bagh area. But after renovation, KCR disapproved it.
Finally, he decided to opt for the official residence after changes were incorporated as suggested by Vastu pundits.Apart from KCR and his wife, son and Minister for Information Technology K Taraka Rama Rao, daughter and member of parliament K Kavita and other family members also participated in the Puja conducted by the pundits.
Following the initial refusal of KCR to use the place, officials had removed the barricades as it was causing inconvenience to public. But it had to be restored now.Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is also using the lake View Guest House as his camp office, merely two kms away. Traffic police officials say that the presence of two Chief Ministers along with the Governor in the same area and the consequent movement of Ministers and other officials will put more pressure on the corridor, which was already congested.
