Kashyap appointed HP new BJP chief

Published on:

After appointing new chiefs of Gujarat and Haryana, the BJP on Wednesday appointed Suresh Kumar Kashyap, MP from Shimla, as its Himachal Pradesh unit president.

Kashyap is an ex-serviceman and has been elected as MLA on the party's ticket earlier.

He replaces Rajeev Bindal, who resigned in May within five months of his appointment after his name had cropped up in a police investigation in a corruption case.

BJP president JP Nadda this week appointed CR Patil and OP Dhankar as presidends of Gujarat and Haryana units respectively.

More changes at all party levels to be effected soon with new faces inducted in the office bearers team in the party's central leadership as also in the Parliamentary Board, the highest decision making body.
