Karti on Wednesday yet again defied the CBI's summons to appear before it in connection with the Aircel-Maxis scam probe. His advocate, instead, sent a letter to CBI reiterating that the agency has no authority to call him as the Aircel-Maxis case was discharged by the 2G Special Court. He said that he will question the CBI summons in SC and the agency should not act till the decision from the apex court. Reacting to Karti's claims, a CBI spokesperson said that argument that the case was discharged is not valid. The role of Karti and his father in the Aircel-Maxis scam is still an ongoing probe.
