After Modi swept in to power many Congress leaders are in one way or the other raise questions about Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi's ability to lead the party. The recent example being senior Congress leaders, like AK Antony and Digvijay Singh who had subtly questioned Rahul Gandhi’s leadership which stirred the hornets’ nest.
The two days Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee meet which was held in Bangalore on Saturday and Sunday proved continuation of this tendency and Karnataka in charge Digvijay Singh who took part had to face the wrath of the Congress workers. The division was clear that one group wanted Priyanka Vadra to lead the party and other wanted Rahul Gandhi to lead them.
According to reports initially the party workers vent out their ire against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah who is even today considered as an outsider in the party. Senior Congress leader and former MP from Mysore Kodagu AH Vishwanath raised questions about Rahul Gandhi’s ability to lead the party.
He was heckled by Karnataka Pradesh Youth Congress committee president Rizwan Arshad who took objections to his remarks on Rahul Gandhi and even wrote a letter to Congress High Command against Vishwanath.
