As the Election Commission approved the appointment of Anup T Mathew to replace Nirmal Kumar Mishra as the new SP of Dumka, the Jharkhand Vikas Morhca (JVM) came forward and blamed the outgoing SP Nirmal Mishra for rigging during the April 24 polling.
The JVM, at the same time, also demanded removal of present Dumka DC and conduct a CBI probe into the entire poll process, including deployment of m achinery.
Marandi is a party candidate from Dumka and up against JMM patriarch Shibu Soren in an intense poll battle.
The Babulal Marandi-led party on Tuesday alleged that the ruling JMM Government used the existing machinery in its favour to influence the outcome of the election.
