Joint secretary in the Union Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Vipul Goyal reviewed the preparations of the Gramin Samvad Yatra for effective implementation of central government schemes. Holding a meeting with the district level officers at Circuit House here on Tuesday, Goyal said that to spread awareness about government schemes and ensure 100 per cent coverage of central schemes, the central government will organise such yatra.

He asked all the responsible officers to generate their login ID and password and ensure to upload their daily activities. In compliance with the government orders, he directed the concerned district level officers to ensure five types of stalls - pension schemes, health services, agricultural stalls, self-help group stalls, banking sector stalls. “Through this Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra, the central and state governments aim to provide various public welfare basic facilities and make essential services accessible to the people of the district,” he said, adding that the objective of this programme is to reach the benefits of the schemes to the last person of the society and to saturate the schemes with eligible beneficiaries.

The joint secretary said that under this campaign, the benefits of major schemes will reach the targeted beneficiaries, especially the deprived and dissatisfied people, in a timely manner and by making the general public aware, it will be ensured that the benefits of the schemes reach the deprived people.

Speaking on the occasion, District Magistrate (DM) S Rajalingam informed the joint secretary that three meetings have already been held for the effective implementation of Gramin Samvad Yatra and a committee and task force have been formed at the tehsil and block level. “Every day, six LED vans received by the district will rotate in two gram panchayats and two urban wards. Of the six LED vans received, five will ensure publicity in rural areas and one in urban areas,” the DM said. He also informed about the non-availability of registration facility on the website to ensure housing to the beneficiaries left in the housing allotment and the technical problems faced in the Ayushman Golden Cards.

Chief Development Officer (CDO) Himanshu Nagpal informed the joint secretary through the power-point presentation that by giving major responsibility to 18 district level officers, a festival and welcome committee has also been formed inside the village. “The Sankalp Yatra will be organised in the district from November 22 to January 26, 2024. IEC Vans will be used to increase dissemination of information through audio visual ads, brochures, pamphlets, booklets etc.

For this, IT portal and app have been developed, on which daily progress, photos and videos related to the journey will be uploaded,” the CDO said, adding that for the successful organisation, implementation and monitoring of Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra at the Gram Panchayat level, nodal officers and supervisory officers have been nominated.

He said that a total of 27 schemes of central and state governments have been included in it. By conducting door-to-door surveys, a cluster has been formed by combining several gram panchayats. In these, separate health camps, TB screening, sickle cell anemia, PM Ujjwala, My Bharat Yuva Swayamsevak, Meri Kahani Meri Jubani, Dharti Kare Pukar, Kashi Samriddhi Campaign Anemia Free will also be ensured. The officials from various departments related to Gramin Samvad Yatra were also present in the meeting.

The yatra will also involve local communities by organising cultural programmes a day before the arrival of the chariot in a village. With the theme ‘Dharti Kahe Pukar Ke’, the programmes will promote judicious use of chemical fertilizers and adoption of organic fertilizers.

The Culture Ministry will train around 7,500 artistes for these cultural events, which will provide both entertainment and knowledge to the attendees.
