A youth allegedly slit the throat of an 18-year-old girl after she rejected his marriage proposal at Gajulerega here this afternoon. The girl is being treated at the Government hospital while the accused K Vikram (21) is absconding. Two-Town Circle Inspector G Durga Prasad said Vikram was related to the victim and was in love with her.
Fifteen days ago he and his parents approached the girl's famiy and proposed marriage, but the latter rejected it.
