The ongoing war of words between BJP and JD(U) leaders reached a new height on Monday when a group of women, claiming to be associated with ruling party Janata Dal(United), ghearoed the BJP leader Giriraj Singh shouting slogans against him for what he uttered two days back against Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Singh had called Nitish Kumar as dehati aurat (rural woman) for being indulged in an arguement with Narendra Modi on ever trivial issue.
The women reached the BJP leader and former Minister Giriraj Singh’s official residence in prohibited zone and gheraoed it for sometime shouting slogans against him. The protesting women were also carrying bangles and vermilion to address the BJP leader as women for his undignified comments.
“We’ve come here to protest against the BJP leader for what he said for rural women while targeting the Bihar Chief Minister…the comment was undignified and demeaning”, said a protesting woman while admitting that she was presently associated with ruling party JD(U).
Earlier on Saturday the BJP leader, known for his close proximity with the BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, had charged Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar as dehati aurat (rural woman) indulged in catfight against each other all the time on flimsy issues.
“The way Nitish Kumar is indulged in war of words on every issue with Narendra Modi reflects that he is acting like a dehati aurat who keep fighting with each other on trivial issues”, the BJP leader Giriraj Singh had commented.
Meanwhile, while reacting over women’s ghearo on his residence, the BJP leader has charged that Nitish Kumar might have hatched conspiracy to kill him. “The way so many women had reached my residence which falls in prohibited zone and that too in police protection reflects that it was a well-hatched conspiracy by Nitish Kumar for my murder”, alleged Giriraj Singh.
The fiery BJP leader Giriraj Singh has all along been hitting hard against Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar for long and had been expressing his displeasure over continuance of the alliance between BJP and JD(U) in the state. He is also said to be close to BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.
