Amid the fast changing political drama in Bihar, the ruling party Janata Dal-United on Thursday expelled four of its sitting lok Sabha MPs along with one outgoing Rajya Sabha MP from the primary membership of the party. All the five MPs, earlier, had become rebel party MPs while attacking party leader and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s style of functioning.
“All the four sitting party MPs Mangani lal Mandal, Purnamasi Ram, Captain Jay Narayan Nishad, Shushil Singh and the outgoing Rajya Sabha MP Shivanand Tiwary have been expelled from the primary membership of the party”, declared JD-U leader and party MP KC Tyagi.
Tyagi also said that though Tiwari was not even the primary member of the party, he has also been expelled. “All the four lok Sabha MPs were already suspended from the party earlier for their anti-party activities but now they have been expelled”, he added further.
Interestingly, the outgoing JD(U) Rajya Sabha MP Shivanand Tiwari has slammed the Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for “engineering the exercise of poaching 13 RJD MlA recently which was backfired miserably”.
“Nitish Kumar was behind the split in RJD fold and very cleverly he had kept himself out of all the drama. I wish to salute his concocted political innocence”, charged Shivanand Tiwari.
The party MP from Gopalganj reserved seat, Purnamasi Ram too had , earlier, attacked Nitish Kumar declaring him as “Hitler”. Ram in all likelihood would contest the upcoming lok Sabha poll on RJD ticket this time.
Similarly, other party MP from Jhanjharpur Mangani lal Mandal, who was earlier removed from the post of chief whip of the party in lok Sabha, too had charged Nitish Kumar for working as a dictator in the party. Mandal too is said to be in touch with RJD leadership to contest the upcoming lS poll from the same seat.
Similar was the charge of the party’s Muzaffarpur MP Capt, Jainarain Nishad who, earlier, had expressed his anger against dictatorial style of functioning of Nitish mar. Nishad had even met with BJP PM nominee Narendra Modi and even had performed yajna at his residence for Modi to become the Prime Minister of the country.
Earlier, the Aurangabad JD-U MP Shushil Singh too was suspended from the party for venting his ire against the party leadership. He is said to be in touch with BJP to contest the forthcoming lok Sabha poll this time from Aurangabad.
“I’m surprised why they took so long in expelling me from the party…I was expecting it much earlier”, he told media persons on Thursday in Gaya. He also said that he was in touch with top BJP leaders and there were strong chances that he would be the BJP candidate from Aurangabad this time in the lok Sabha poll.
However, a state BJP leader who comes from Aurangabad, Ramadhar Singh has blew the rebel bugle if Shushil Kumar Singh would be given the party ticket from Aurangabad.“Yes, I can go to any extent to oppose his candidature from Aurangabad...even I can quit the party on this issue”, declared Ramadhar Singh a couple of days back.
