AIADMK general secretary J Jayalalithaa on Thursday expressed her shock over the Tuesday’s shoot out by the Andhra Pradesh Police which claimed the lives of 20 people from Tamil Nadu. She also declared a solatium of Rs2 lakh each to the families of the victims from the AIADMK fund.
Jayalalithaa said she was pained to hear the news of the shoot out and the high causalities. She also expressed doubt over the claims of the police that the shots were fired in self defence. The AIADMK general secretary who is a three time former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu requested Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to conduct an enquiry to bring out the truth and take proper action. She said the photographs and video images from the spot where the shoot-out took place has given rise to doubts over the claims of the Andhra Pradesh Police.
