Jawan attains martyrdom in encounter at loC

An Indian Army jawan was targeted by the sharp shooters of the Pakistan Army along the line of Control in Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch when he was guarding one of the forward posts on Tuesday.

The provocative act invited strong Indian retaliation in the same sector. The grievously injured jawan succumbed to his fatal injuries before reaching the nearby hospital.

However, Defence sources in Poonch claimed Indian Army jawan attained martyrdom after Pakistan Army initiated ‘unprovoked’ firing on Indian Army posts in KG sector around 2.50 pm.

Indian Army retaliated strongly and effectively. In the heavy exchange of fire 21-year-old Pawan Singh was seriously injured and succumbed to his fatal injuries.
