Javadekar says CBI was misused by Cong, Rahul is having hallucinations

Stating that Congress president Rahul Gandhi was living in "hallucination", the BJP on Thursday alleged it was the Congress which had grossly misused the CBI and leaked sensitive information from the agency.

Addressing a press conference, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said BJP never interfered in the functioning of the CBI and cited example that though he and another Union Minister Hansraj Ahir  were  "whistle-blowers" in the coal scam but  chose to  oppose  CBI's closer report in the case in the court through an affidavit.

He said it was the Congress which had leaked sensitive information in the Aircel Maxis case involving former finance minister P Chidambaram and his son.

The Minister said it was the Congress that had daily tampered with the  working of the CBI and used it to threaten the opponents.

Javadekar said Rahul is living in "hallucination"  and telling lie by saying that CBI Director was removed as he was allegedly inquiring in the Rafale fighter plane purchase  and that papers were snatched from him. "It is utterly fallacious and Malicious lie" and reflectsed Congress Party and its leader's frustration as they could not earn "commission" in the Rafale  deal through the middle-man Sanjay Bhandarai, he alleged.

Under the BJP Government it is a Government-to-Government deal, he affirmed.

" Congress lost election  and the Commission too",  he quipped. Javadekar said CBI Director has not been removed as stated by Rahul.

Answering a question, he denied snooping around the residence of the CBI Director.
