Condemning the "forcible possession" of Kaithal-based Gurdwara in Harayna by HSGPC, Jathedar Akal Takht Gyani Gurbachan Singh on Wednesday asked the Haryana Government to restore the possession to SGPC.
The Akal Takht Jathedar said whatever happened in Haryana has hurt the sentiments of the Sikh community across the world and now the Haryana Government should restore the possession of the Gurdwara to SGPC to maintain peace and harmony. "If the Haryana Government failed to restore possession, it would be responsible for bloodshed in the future along with the newly-formed HSGPC," he said. SGPC president Avtar Singh Makkar also condemned the "forcible possession" of the Gurdwara in Haryana and said it was done with the active connivance of Congress Chief Minister.
