Anxiously waiting for a positive reply from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jagdambika Pal targeted Union Minister of External Affairs Salman Khurshid. He leveled charges of large-scale irregularities in distribution of medical gadgets by Dr Zakir Hussain Memorial Trust, headed by Khurshid, and his wife louise Khurshid.
Pal, who left Congress just last week, demanded a high level probe from the State Government. Interestingly, the bungling in the above NGO had been already charged by members of India Against Corruption in 2012 after which the State Government handed probe to the sleuths of the Economic Offence Wing (EOW). On the issue of his joining the BJP, Pal gave no direct reply.
