While the UT administration across Jammu & Kashmir is gearing up to strengthen Covid care facilities at Panchayat level the active case load is not showing signs of major improvement.
On Thursday, 67 more patients succumbed to the virus while 4,169 cases tested positive taking the tally of active positive cases to 50,554. Out of these 67 deaths, 41 were reported from Jammu division and 26 from Kashmir. The positivity rate reported across J&k stood at 8.7 percent. Government Medical College hospital in Jammu reported highest number of 17 deaths while seven patients succumbed to the virus in GMC, Rajouri, two each in Doda, Katra and Udhampur.
According to the media bulletin, out of 4169 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (Covid-19) 1518 were reported from Jammu division and 2651 from Kashmir division. Significantly, 4042 more Covid-19 patients were recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 1533 from Jammu Division and 2509 from Kashmir Division.
