Taking on Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi in his own bastion, Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday said that Modi is ‘Development Man’, but only for selected few industrialists.
Kejriwal, who is on four-day tour to Gujarat to ‘check’ reality of development claims of Modi in the State, accused Modi Government of grabbing poor farmers land to allot to industrialists. “It seems that land of entire Gujarat is on sale,” he asserted. Meanwhile, he was supposed to visit Narmada canal passing through Kutch district but was stopped by local people on way and he had to drop the idea to visit the canal site.
AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal during his tour clarified that his party would contest election from all 26 lok Sabha constituencies in Gujarat. Answering a query on whether he would like to file nomination against Modi, he said that he had not yet decided on it.
On his way to Ahmedabad, he stopped at Maliya village and visited a Primary Health Centre where he couldn’t see doctor and supporting staff. Along with Kejriwal, former BJP MlA and known Modi detractor Kanubhai Kalsaria, Gujarat AAP leader Annirudh Jadeja and others are also traveling.
During his visit to Kutch, Kejriwal also met Sikh farmers and heard them over their issue of land given to them four decades ago. On the issue, he said that Gujarat Government didn’t want to return Sikh farmers’ land.
