ISIS protests against PFI ban proves terror links: Sources

Validating the allegations in the National Investigation Agency (NIA) FIRs against the banned terror group Popular Front of India (PFI), the international terrorist outfit Islamic State, through its propaganda magazine Voice of Khurasan, has opposed the ban on PFI and exhorted the Indian Muslims to target the Government and Hindu community and terrorise them.

The ISIS also revealed that many PFI supporters joined the banner of Tawheed in different parts of the world and many of them may have attained Shahdah (so-called martyrdom for Islam and terrorism in civilized parlance).

The PFI was suspected to be recruiting Indian youths for ISIS in order to carry forward the inimical agenda of the global terror group.

Through the latest exhortations, ISIS could be seeking to gain traction among other Islamist groups to make up for the ban on PFI and also targeting gullible Muslims to join its fold. In the propaganda story, the outfit talks about “motivating” fellow Muslims to carry forward its terror agenda under the banner of ISIS and pledge allegiance to its violent Khilafah movement.

The has also linked the ban on PFI to be similar to the proscription on Students Islamic Movement of India, a clear pointer to the continuum of the sinister designs of such Islamist outfits and their international linkages.

The NIA has alleged that PFI encouraged vulnerable youths to join terrorist organisations including Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Islamic State of Iraq and Syria(ISIS) or Daesh and Al-Qaida, and also conspired to establish Islamic rule in India by committing a terrorist act.

The NIA has also claimed that the documents seized during the nation-wide searches conducted at offices of PFI and its leaders contain highly incriminating materials targeting prominent leaders of a particular community.

The agency has also alleged that the radical Islamist outfit conspired to establish Islamic rule in India by committing terrorist acts as a part of violent jihad. It said the PFI spreads “dis-affection against India by wrongful interpretation of government policies to the particular section of people” to create hatred against the state and its machineries.

“During the investigation, based on materials collected, it has been disclosed that the accused named in the FIR were actively involved in the organised crimes and unlawful activities repeatedly, to terrorise other religious sections of the society, besides creating fear in the mind of general public based on the larger conspiracy hatched among themselves and others,” according to the NIA.

In near simultaneous raids across the country, a multi-agency operation spearheaded by the NIA on September 22 led to the arrest of 106 activists of the Popular Front of India in 11 States for allegedly supporting terror activities in the country.

“The seized documents also contain highly incriminating materials related to targeting prominent leaders of a particular community.

The Hit List seized clearly shows that the PFI, which is working through its leaders, members and associates have gone far ahead in creating atrocities among the community,” the agency has alleged.
