ISI planning to target intel apparatus in J&K

Pakistani spy agency ISI and its terror syndicates now plan to target the intelligence apparatus in Jammu and Kashmir.

An intelligence input generated by the Military Intelligence has warned that Pakistan-based terrorists have been enquiring about information and addresses of Indian intelligence operatives from RAW (Research and Analysis Wing) , MI (Military Intelligence) and CID (Crime Investigation Department) operating in Jammu and Kashmir.

Pakistan’s covert agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) has tasked the terrorists to target intelligence officials in the Valley and find locations of para commando units based in Jammu and Kashmir.

The ISI and its terror cohorts have been resorting to new tactics to destabilize the security situation in the Valley.

Earlier, an Intelligence input suggested that the ISI recently held a meeting with the terror commanders of its terror affiliates Hizbul Mujahideen, Al Badr and Jaish-e-Mohammad among others at Manakpalyan, Muzaffarabad on August 9 to intensify attacks on security forces and their convoys in Jammu and Kashmir.

According to this input, intensified and multiple attacks were likely on the National Highway starting near Banihal and reaching Srinagar. The attacks are also likely planned for Srinagar city. Kupwara, Baramulla, Uri and other areas in order to send a "strong" message to the Indian establishment that the terrorist groups in Kashmir continue to be active and have the capability to strike state establishment at

The terrorists have been instructed to use any method available with them including indiscriminate firing, IED blasts, grenade attacks, VBIEDs (Vehicle-Borne IEDs) etc. against security forces, convoys and Naka parties.

The terror groups have been using various tactics to evade their location and make monitoring by the law enforcement agencies difficult. The ever changing tactics profile of the terror groups have kept the security agencies on their toes to thwart such nefarious designs of the inimical forces.

Through a poster recently spotted by the intelligence agencies in the Valley, the terror groups had warned theofficials of the education department and even private school managements to refrain from hoisting the tricolor on Independence Day.
