Pakistan’s ISI has mobilised terrorists of lashkar-e-Tayyeba (leT), Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) and Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) besides Sikh militants of Babbar Khalsa International and Khalistan Zindabad Force based on its soil for carrying out terror strikes in Delhi, Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir.
Some top ranking ISI officials recently held a meeting with terrorists from jehadi and Sikh radical outfits in Pakistan and have provided funds for the possible strikes, according an alert issued by the Intelligence Bureau.
Around 15-20 terrorists from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and other parts of Pakistan are being imparted training in use of arms and ammunition at camps across the border with the help of leT founder and Jamaat-ud-Dawah chief Hafiz Sayeed.
The inputs suggested that some of the terrorists under training familiarised themselves with Sikh traditions and Gurmukhi script at Kartarpur Sahib, a gurudwara in Pakistan with the help of Khalistan Zindabad Force (KZF) chief Ranjit Singh alias Nita. The ISI along with its affiliate terror groups has also briefed these terrorists on the topography of Punjab.
The IB has warned the security agencies in Jammu & Kashmir and Punjab that some of these terrorists might have already entered Punjab or are about to enter to carry out an attack.
The inputs also pointed out that the arms and ammunition to be used for such attack are likely to be sent from Jammu & Kashmir by concealing
them in cavities created in chassis of trucks headed
for Punjab.
The information was shared with Jammu & Kashmir Government, the army and central forces based in the State on September 24 and with the Punjab Government, BSF, Directorate General of Military Intelligence and CRPF units in Punjab on September 26.
